KARACHI:

The metropolis is expected to experience moderate rainfall preceded by a windstorm today (Sunday), under the influence of the current monsoon spell which is to last until tomorrow (Monday), according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).

The PMD predicted that sea breezes would remain suspended in the morning before picking up speed and blowing at up to 60 kilometres per hour, followed by moderate showers after noon. The metropolis is likely to record 20 millimetres to 30mm of rain on the day.

Meanwhile, weather will remain cloudy but with greater heat intensity given the suspension of sea breezes.

Tharparkar, Badin, Thatta, Umerkot, Sanghar and Mirpurkhas are also expected to see downpours during the current rain spell.
