PESHAWAR:

The federal government on Friday assured the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) government that issues regarding the payment of net hydel profits will be resolved along with other problems.

This was assured by Prime Minister Imran Khan in a meeting with K-P Governor Shah Farman and Chief Minister Mahmood Khan at the prime minister’s office in Islamabad on Friday.

A communique said that they discussed the overall situation in the province and progress made on development projects.

Issues related to expansion in the provincial cabinet and the performance of provincial ministers were discussed.

On rumours surrounding the change in the governorship, PM Imran clarified that no such change was under consideration.

Imran, though, directed the chief minister to review the performance of the provincial ministers and other members of the government team while keeping in view the implementation of the party policy and manifesto.

To tackle propaganda against the government by the opposition, they decided to mobilise the entire government team to give an effective response.

CM Mahmood also raised the issue of net hydel profits and other issues. Imran assured that all problems of the province will be resolved.
