Qatar lauds Pakistan’s efforts for regional peace and stability

General Qamar meets Qatari envoy, hopes bilateral ties will further prosper to achieve the common goal

In a meeting with Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Ambassador of Qatar Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani on Wednesday appreciated Pakistan's continuous efforts for peace and stability in the region and pledged to keep working for better relations between the two countries.

According to a statement of Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), matters of mutual interest and cooperation in various fields were discussed during the meeting.

The COAS congratulated the dignitary on assuming the office and hoped that Pak-Qatar relations will further prosper under his able leadership for the common goal of improved peace and stability in the region and increased economic prosperity.

Military media wing said that the visiting dignitary appreciated Pakistan's continuous efforts for peace and stability in the region and pledged to keep working for better relations between the two countries.

Iraqi envoy, army chief discuss regional security, Covid-19 pandemic

On July 15, Ambassador of Iraq Hamid Abbas Lafta also appreciated Pakistan's continuous efforts for peace and stability in the region.

According to the military's media wing, General Qamar, on the occasion, said that Pakistan values its brotherly relations with Iraq and also offered all possible assistance in the development and security-related fields.

During a similar meeting with the army chief on June 26, Japanese Ambassador to Pakistan Kuninori Matsuda had also praised Islamabad's role for peace and stability.
