QUETTA:

The Balochistan High Court (BHC) summoned a Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) official in the next hearing of a case regarding Pak-Afghan border closure. A BHC division bench comprising Chief Justice Jamal Mandokhail and Justice Nazir Langove heard the petition submitted by Quetta Chamber of Commerce and Industry (QCCI).

The petitioner’s lawyer Sanaullah Ababaki Advocate apprised the court about the issue of non-rehabilitation of Badini border and requested the bench to issue orders to authorities concerned in this regard. The court summoned the FBR and other authorities concerned to clarify the closure of the border in the next hearing.

In the petition, the QCCI maintained industry and trade, import and export, and services have been disrupted and the traders were near bankruptcy due to the closure of Chaman border and non-rehabilitation of Badini border.
