A Khairpur anti-terrorism court extended on Tuesday the remand of a teacher, Sarang Shar, accused of raping and filming students by seven days.
At the hearing, Khairpur SSP Captain (retd) Ameer Saud Magsi told the court that police had carried out more arrests in the case, nabbing people suspected of facilitating Shar in the alleged crime and they were being interrogated. He added that Khairpur ASP Saad Irshad had been assigned the investigation of the case. The SSP maintained that Shar was in prison and did not have access to his mobile phone. Extending the accused’s remand by seven days, the court adjourned the hearing.
