The counter-terrorism department’s (CTD’s) investigation unit has claimed to have arrested four members of a gang involved in house robberies. The arrests were made on Monday night and the arrested have been identified as Abdul Karim, Hafiz Abdul Razzaq, Sikander Abdul Malik and Muhammad Younus.
According to CTD DSP Chaudhry Safdar, the arrested men have confessed to committing robberies in Defence Housing Authority (DHA), Gizri and Clifton. He said that they revealed during interrogation that they sold stolen gold jewellery worth Rs7.3 million and looted cash and watches multiple times. They have been arrested earlier too and a case against them has been registered, the DSP said.
