RAWALPINDI:

A 74-year-old woman was mysteriously found dead in her house in the precincts of Waris Khan police station on Monday. Rescue 1122 and police officials said that the elderly victim lived alone in her house. Both institutions received a complaint of a murder during a robbery following which they rushed to the site. The victim’s body was shifted to the hospital for an autopsy. In this regard, Waris Khan SHO Ghazfar Ahmed denied any visible wounds on the deceased’s body. He also rejected robbery claims as nothing valuable was missing from the house. SHO expressed doubt that it could be a murder over a property matter however, he added, the cause of death could be ascertained after the autopsy report only. CPO Ahsan Younus directed the Rawal zone SP Rai Mazhar to probe into the incident with keeping all aspects in view and trace the suspects at the earliest.
