5 shopkeepers arrested for defying SOPs
Ahsan Younas said police will take action against those who violate the ban
RAWALPINDI:The Police on Sunday rounded up five shopkeepers and booked them for defying the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) on preventing the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic from spreading. A police spokesperson said that SP Rawal said that the City police had arrested two shopkeepers namely Abdul Wahab and Muhammad Imran for opening their businesses on a day they were not allowed to. Similarly, SP Potohar said that the Airport police had arrested Roman Khan and Muhammad Nadeem for opening their stores and defying the ban. SP Saddar said that the Gujjar Khan police had arrested a shopkeeper, identified as Liaquat Ali, for not following the set rules of the administration. City Police Officer (CPO) Ahsan Younas said police will take action against those who violate the ban and advised people to take preemptive measures to stop the viral disease from spreading.
