Alleged killer of transgender caught

The police official says that they had also recovered the murder weapon from the suspect

RAWALPINDI:

Police claimed to have arrested a suspect for allegedly killing a transgender person. Officials of Mandra police station said that two days ago a firing incident was reported in their precincts in which a transgender person was killed while another had sustained serious injuries. Saddar SP Mazhar Rai said he had formed an investigation team after the incident was reported. He asserted that the police team caught the suspect, Shehriyar Sheri, in just 48 hours using scientific techniques. SP Rai said that two transgender persons including Kangna and Aashi were respectively killed and injured by the suspect with the assistance of his friend. The police official said that they had also recovered the murder weapon from the suspect and vowed of preparing a charge sheet with concrete evidence against the offender.
