Action ordered against illegal cattle markets in Karachi
Sindh authorities take notice of illegal sale of sacrificial animals ahead of Eidul Azha
KARACHI:Taking notice of the illegal sale of sacrificial animals at various locations in the city, Sindh local government secretary Roshan Ali Sheikh ordered action against all such illegal markets on Wednesday.
Pointing out that such markets were not only against the law but also disrupted traffic, Sheikh added that gatherings and crowds were also banned by the Supreme Court during the coronavirus crisis.
He stated that instructions had been issued to municipal and deputy commissioners of all districts, telling them to take strict legal action against those involved in the illegal sale and purchase of sacrificial animals.
"The Sindh government cannot allow any person or organisation to engage in illegal business activities in the province," he maintained, appealing to the people to follow the pandemic-related standard operating procedures to protect themselves and their loved ones.
