Things haven't been easy for Rhea Chakraborty ever since her boyfriend, popular Bollywood star Sushant Singh Rajput, took his own life about a month ago. The actor recently broke her silence on his death and shared a heartfelt note for the late Kai Po Che star on her Instagram too.

However, even a tragedy as grave as that didn’t deter social media trolls from bullying her. Chakraborty took to Instagram recently to reveal that she has been getting rape and death threats since Rajput’s death. Attaching a screenshot of a message by a user, she wrote, "I was called a gold digger, I kept quiet. I was called a murderer, I kept quiet. I was slut-shamed, I kept quiet. But how does my silence give you the right to tell me that you will get me raped and murdered if I don’t commit suicide?”

She went on to stress the seriousness of the matter. "Do you realise the seriousness of what you have said? These are crimes and by law no one, I repeat no one, should be subjected to this kind of toxicity and harassment.”

Chakraborty then went on to tag India’s cybercrime handles on the networking application, asking for prompt action. "I request cybercrime India to please take necessary action," she wrote. "Enough is enough."

Chakraborty and Rajput were rumoured to have been dating for a while now and the former even confirmed a wedding to have been on the cards in the police interrogation regarding Rajput's death. The starlet was questioned on June 18, 2020, by the Mumbai Police for nine hours.
