Storekeeper killed in Sector I-9/4

ISLAMABAD:

Two unidentified assailants shot and killed a shopkeeper on Wednesday over unknown reasons in a market at Sector I-9/4 within the jurisdiction of Industrial Area police station. According to police, two armed men barged into the Khattak General Store at Aziz Market, adjacent to Weekly Bazaar of Sector I-9 and opened fire at the storekeeper identified as Abdullah and left unchallenged on their motorbike. Abdullah suffered bullet injuries on his upper torso and died on the spot. Officials of Industrial Area police station reached the scene, collected evidence and shifted the body to hospital.Police said that investigation into matter is underway following which it would be ascertained that the person was shot dead in his bid to foil robbery attempt or over an enmity.
