Two POs among eight held

MIANWALI:

Police claimed to have arrested eight criminals including two proclaimed offenders and seized illegal weapons from them. The police said on Tuesday that during a continued drive against criminals, a team headed by DSP Mehr Muhammad Riaz arrested eight criminals and seized two rifles of 44 and 222 bore, three pistols of 30 bore and a gun of 12 bore from them. The police also arrested two proclaimed offenders identified as Muhammad Amir Hayat and Muhammad Zubair and seized a gun and a rifle from them. The authorities had announced head money of Rs200,000 for them. The others arrested were identified as Latif Ullah, Shahzad, Naimat Ullah, Muhammad Bilal, Anayat Ullah and Mazhar Abbas.
