Revenue officials held for corruption

A case was registered against the accused

MIANWALI:

The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) on Monday arrested two employees of the revenue department on charges of bribery. ACE officials said Malik Mumtaz of Kundian, in his application to Regional Director Babar Rehman Warriach, stated that Girdawar Mushtaq and Circle Patwari Zafar Abbas had demanded Rs15,000 for demarcation of property. The circle officer ACE along with Judicial Magistrate Muhammad Shahab arrested the accused Mushtaq and Zafar during a raid, besides recovering the amount. A case was registered against the accused.
