Three Rangers officials were killed and three others were injured when a mobile van carrying the law enforcers overturned near DHA City at Super Highway on Monday.

One of the personnel, identified as Havaldar Sohail Akram, died on the spot, while Inspector Abdul Razzaq, Lance Naik Gul Khan, Hamza, Murtaza and driver Mushtaq Saeed sustained injuries.

The deceased and injured were shifted to a nearby private hospital for medico-legal formalities and treatment, respectively.

According to Gadap City SHO Naimat Bhatti, Abdul Razzaq and Hamza succumbed to their injuries during treatment, while the other three officials were also said to be in critical condition.

Separately, two trucks collided with each other near Ghosia Charhai on the Super Highway late on Sunday night, killing one of the drivers and leaving five other people injured.

One of the trucks reportedly rammed into the other one and toppled over, resulting in the immediate death of its driver, 45-year-old Anees, while injuring five others.

The deceased and the injured were taken to a private hospital nearby. The injured have been identified as Nazar Muhammad, Ameer Muhammad, Noor Muhammad, Ali Akbar and Dhani Bakhsh.
