Teenager killed, another injured in crash

A man was killed after falling from the roof of his house while fixing tin sheets on it

KARACHI:

Three people were killed in separate mishaps in the city on Sunday.

A teenager was killed and another injured when a trailer-truck hit a motorcycle near Jamali Bridge on the Super Highway on Sunday.

The deceased, 18-year-old Huzaifa, and the injured, 16-year-old Moiz, were taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for medico-legal formalities and treatment, respectively.

Moiz reportedly sustained severe head injuries and was said to be in critical condition.

Separately, 28-year-old Saad Sikander died after being electrocuted in a house in Liaquatabad.

The body was taken to ASH for medico-legal formalities.

The police stated that Sikander's family claimed he was electrocuted when he attempted to turn on the water pumping motor in the house. Further investigation is under way.

In another incident, a man was killed after he fell from the rooftop of a house in Mominabad in Orangi Town.

The deceased, identified as Sartaj, 37, was taken to ASH for medico-legal formalities.

The deceased's family claimed that he fell while fixing the tin sheets that form the house's roof.

Meanwhile, three men were injured in a traffic accident in Manghopir.

The injured, identified as 18-year-old Arsalan, 18-year-old Javed and 22-year-old Ayub were taken to ASH for treatment.
