Covid-19 claims 13 more lives in Punjab
With 730 fresh infections, total cases exceed 85,990

The coronavirus disease claimed 13 more lives in the province over the last 24 hours, while the total number of Covid-19 patients exceeded 85,990 after registration of 730 new cases.
According to the spokesperson for Punjab Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department on Saturday the, total number of deaths were over 1,985 in the province.
The health department confirmed that 275 new cases of Covid-19 were registered in the provincial capital, three Nankana Sahib, seven in Kasur, 17 in Sheikhupura, 84 in Rawalpindi, seven in Jhelum, 17 in Chakwal, 13 in Attock, nine in Gujranwala, 46 in Gujrat, 15 in Mandi Bahauddin, 17 in Multan, 22 in Vehari and 31 new cases in Faisalabad.

Moreover, 12 new cases were reported in Toba Tek Singh, nine in Sialkot, two in Chiniot, one in Khushab, five in Bhakkar, four in Bahawalnagar, five in Muzaffargarh, one in Rajanpur, 14 in Sahiwal, two in Jhang, 19 in Rahim Yar Khan, 14 in Sargodha, 12 in Mianwali, 18 in Bahawalpur, four in Lodhran, 16 in Dera Ghazi Khan, one in Layyah, 17 in Okara and 11 new cases of Covid-19 were reported in Pakpattan district during the 24 hours.
The Punjab health department has conducted more than 581,230 tests for Covid-19 so far, while at least 53,860 patents have recovered in the province. Health department officials appealed to the citizens to adopt the government-mandated SOPs for their protection from the disease.
