Digital skills project for women launchedd

PESHAWAR:

Some 3,000 women across the province will be trained on marketable digital skills under a special programme to include women in the growing digital economy.

The "women empowerment through digital skills" project was formally launched by the Adviser to Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa chief minister on Information Technology and Science Ziaullah Bangash on Friday.

The project has been initiated by the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board (K-PITB) and will operate under the K-P Youth Employment Programme (K-PYEP), a sub-component of the “Digital Jobs in K-P” programme, which had been funded by the multi-donor trust fund and administered by the World Bank.

The advisor urged the youth, especially women of the province, to participate in the training programme. He said that the programme provides a rich opportunity for women to enhance their abilities and utilize them in the industries of information, science and technology.
