Chakdara interchange inaugurated

Mahmood Khan termed the project as critical for the entire Malakand region

PESHAWAR:

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan on Thursday formally inaugurated the Malik Ahmad Baba Ala Dhand Dheri Interchange on the Swat Motorway in Chakdara. The interchange was recently completed and has now been completely opened for traffic. Upon his arrival by helicopter, CM Mahmood was given a detailed briefing about the progress made so far on the first phase of the motorway and that work on the first phase is in the final stages. The motorway is expected to be opened for traffic by September, officials said.

The chief minister was also briefed about the progress made on the second phase of the motorway.

Mahmood termed the project as critical for the entire Malakand region.
