British actor and rapper Riz Ahmed has teamed up with Down hitmaker Jay Sean for his new song titled Any Day, reported Entertainment Weekly.
Ahmed and Sean debuted their latest track on n The Ellen Show on Wednesday, showing what they've been upto under quarantine all these months. Ahmed takes over the primary singing and rapping through the length of the song, while Sean sings the hook. Putting up a virtual performance for their online audience, Ahmed also took it upon himself the shoot the video "selfie-style against a wall and then threw a bunch of images over it of the stuff that we've been missing while we're in lockdown," as he said.
The track is featured on his March 6 solo debut album, The Long Goodbye, and touches on an unfilfulled relationship.
While Ahmed is known for his acting prowess, having starred in HBO's The Night Of for which he won an Emmy and also for appearing in films like Nightcrawler and Rogue One, he is also quite an accomplished rapper - he's one third of the hip-hop group Swet Shop Boys. He also won an MTV Video Music Award for his verse on the track Immigrants (We Get The Job Done) from 2017's The Hamilton Mixtape.
