The price control magistrates imposed a fine worth Rs89,600 against shopkeepers for profiteering and hoarding. According to a statement issued on Wednesday, on the directives of the provincial government, the magistrates visited bazaars and markets and found violations for fixed rates at 975 shops during the raids conducted over the last two days. “The price control magistrates imposed fines worth Rs89,600 against the shopkeepers for profiteering and hoarding,” stated the press release. The owners of outlets were warned of stern action if they were further found involved in profiteering and hoarding of essential and edible items.
