Microsoft is planning to showcase games created by its Xbox Game Studios, including Halo Infinite

Gaming fans should set their timer for July 23rd at 9AM PT / 12PM ET for Microsoft's Xbox Series X games event.

The company is planning to showcase games created by its Xbox Game Studios, including Halo Infinite. 343 industries showed a small clip of Halo Infinite in a trailer a couple of weeks ago, revealing that The Banished antagonists are making a return for the next big installment in the Halo franchise, reports The Verge.

Microsoft has been steadily acquiring game studios, recently the tech giant expressed interest in buying Warner Bros' gaming unit.

Warner Bros parent AT&T discussing the sale of Interactive Entertainment gaming division that owns popular videogame “Mortal Kombat” for a deal that could be worth about $4 billion, CNBC reported last month.

Microsoft also created a Fable placeholder Twitter account, leading fans to curious if the game might make a return during July’s Xbox event.

Psychonauts 2 is still due in 2020 from Microsoft’s Double Fine studio, Forza and Gears of War will adapt to the more powerful hardware in the Xbox Series X.

Microsoft has already promised that some of the company’s Xbox Game Studios teams will reveal new gameplay, just last month the company unveiled games for its new Xbox console coming this year. The new Xbox Games, will experience improvements in performance, including improved boot and load times, more stable frame rates, higher resolutions and improved quality on Xbox Series X.
