Four open-air-gyms open in Abbottabad
Provincial govt opens gyms to promote sports
ABBOTTABAD:
To promote sporting facilities in the province, the provincial government has opened four open-air-gymnasium in Abbottabad.
Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Assembly (K-P) Speaker Mushtaq Ghani inaugurated the sporting facilities on Sunday. The government has approved the construction of five gymnasiums in the region of which four have been completed. These gymnasiums are located in different areas of the city while each gymnasium cost Rs5 million to build.
After cutting the ceremonial tape, Ghani said that the establishment of an open-air-gym at this time was important to provide free exercising facilities to the youth of Abbottabad and to encourage them to engage in healthy activities and expend their energies in positive activities.
Exercise machines have been installed at the four open-air-gyms, established in different parks including Jinnah Bagh Park, Jail Park, Lady Garden and Jinnahabad Park.
