KU scraps admission test for different programmes

Last date to submit the scanned copies of the admission form and the fee deposit slip is July 19

KARACHI:

The University of Karachi (KU) has scrapped the entry test for admissions in MS (Surgery) MPhil, PhD and MD (Medicine) programmes for the academic session 2020-21 due to the pandemic, announced registrar Dr Saleem Shahzad on Sunday.

Instead, candidates are required to submit the scanned copies of their admission forms, while they will be evaluated on their interviews, conducted by the respective departmental research committees.

Moreover, degree holders from foreign or local degree-awarding institutions recognised by the Higher Education Commission should submit an equivalence certificate obtained from the office of the deputy registrar of academics prior to the provisional admission.

The registrar added that KU was offering admissions in various departments, including faculties of arts and social sciences, science, law, medicine, pharmacy and others.

He further stated that the admission prospectus for the upcoming academic session and fee voucher can be downloaded from their website, www.uokadmission.edu.pk.

The last date to submit the scanned copies of the admission form and the fee deposit slip is July 19.
