PESHAWAR:

Adviser to Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ajmal Khan wazir on Saturday visited families of 20 Sikh pilgrims who had died in a train-coaster collision near Sheikhupura to offer condolences over the tragic accident.

The coaster carrying the Sikh pilgrims collided with the Lahore-bound train at a railway crossing near Sacha Soda on Friday.

Wazir visited the Gurdwara located in Jogan Shah area of Peshawar, where he met with the families of the deceased Sikh pilgrims, who all hailed from the K-P capital.

The adviser expressed deep grief over the loss of lives, saying that the tragic incident had saddened the whole nation.

Ajmal Wazir said Prime Minister Imran Khan has also expressed sorrow over the unfortunate incident. The provincial government stands with the bereaved families in this hour of grief and will extend all possible assistance, he added.
