A local court rejected on Friday bail for a Counter Terrorism Department official in a case pertaining to shooting and injuring a doctor at the National Institute of Cardio-Vascular Diseases (NICVD). The counsel of the accused, Kamran, maintained he had been baselessly nominated in the case, adding that NICVD officials had initially claimed the suspect was an unidentified person. He further stated that charges of attempted murder had been unnecessarily added to the case because the doctor was shot in the leg.
