All non-governmental and welfare organisations will have to get registered with the Social Welfare and Baitul Maal Department under the Punjab Charity Act 2018. According to a press release issued by department in Bahawalpur, on the directives of the Punjab government, all NGOs and welfare organisations would have to get themselves registered under the Charity Act. The date for online registration has been set from July 5 to August 15. The organisations which do not get registered under the Punjab Charity Act 2018 would not be allowed to function, the press release said.
