Covid-19 claims 35 more lives in Punjab

Total cases exceed 78,950 after registration of 1,210 new patients

The coronavirus disease claimed 35 more lives in the province over the last 24 hours.

As per details, the total number of Covid-19 cases in the province exceeded 78,950 after registration of more than 1,210 new cases in the last 24 hours.

According to the spokesperson for Punjab Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department on Friday, the total number of deaths was over 1,810 in the province.

The health department confirmed that 878 new cases of Covid-19 were registered in the provincial capital, two in Nankana Sahib, two in Kasur, 16 in Sheikhupura, 97 in Rawalpindi, four in Jhelum, one in Chakwal, 12 in Gujranwala, seven in Narowal, 46 in Gujrat, four in Hafizabad, three in Mandi Bahauddin, 18 in Multan, 10 in Vehari and 45 new cases in Faisalabad.

Moreover, three new cases were reported in Toba Tek Singh, nine in Jhang, nine in Rahim Yar Khan, 12 in Sargodha, five in Mianwali, five in Bahawalpur, three in Lodhran, five in Dera Ghazi Khan, five in Layyah, 10 in Okara and three new cases of Covid-19 had been reported in Pakpattan district during the 24 hours.

Punjab health department has conducted more than 517,830 tests for Covid-19 so far, while at least 33,786 patients have recovered in the province.
