Four traders booked for SOP violation

The team also gave warnings to the owners of some other shops

The Environment Protection Department (EPD) on Monday lodged FIRs against four traders over non-compliance of anti-dengue SOPs and issued notices to two marble factory owners in Piplan.

According to a statement, on the direction of Deputy Commissioner Omar Sher Chattah, a team of EPD headed by Environment Inspector Muhammad Imran and health department Entomologist Muhammad Rizwan inspected different areas of Piplan tehsil and checked tyre shops, cement and marble units, nurseries and junkyards.

The team registered FIR against four owners of junkyards at Piplan police station over non-compliance with SOPs released by Punjab government and served notices on two cement and marble factory owners.

The team also gave warnings to the owners of some other shops.
