Mubina Town police raided a gutka manufacturing 'factory' in Metroville

KARACHI:

The Mubina Town police raided a gutka manufacturing 'factory' in Metroville and arrested a suspect, identified as Mushtaq, on Monday.

The police confiscated a pistol, bullets, gutka manufacturing machines, tobacco and betel nuts as well as medicines that had been stolen from the Sindh Health Department.

According to the police, the house in which the factory had been established is owned by a man named Sheeraz, a close accomplice of former Muttahida Qaumi Movement-London sector in-charge Umair Siddiqi.

The police revealed that the plot was allotted to Sheeraz by Siddiqi, while the arrested suspect is Sheeraz's son.

In another incident, two suspects were arrested by the Sharae Faisal police. The police confiscated two pistols, bullets and drugs from the possession of Humayun and Muhammad Hussain, who were allegedly involved in robberies as well as other street crimes and have previously in booked in a case as well case.

Meanwhile, the Baldia Town police foiled a bid to smuggle 300 kilogrammes of betel nuts and arrested suspects Hussain and Munaf.
