The nepotism debate in the Indian film industry has been rife over the last few years. It caught even more attention when Kangana Ranaut called Bollywood ace director Karan Johar for being the flag-bearer of nepotism in the film industry.
She also called Johar the 'movie mafia'. The Queen star's comments started a debate on privilege in Bollywood.

Many called out popular talk show hosted by Johar, Koffee With Karan as well. In a recent development, season 6 of the show has been shelved.
And veteran TV actor and former supermodel Iffat Omar had a thing or two to say about it.
"Pakistani industry artists sharing news of Koffee in Karan in hot water but darlings what about the nepotism in your own backyard?" the host shared. "Kabhi socha hay hamari industry me adakar kitne hayn? (Have you ever thought how many actors there are in our industry?)"

A discussion surrounding nepotism is yet to take place in the Pakistani film industry. We hope Omar's comments may kickstart a debate soon enough.
