After three months, suspected murderer arrested

Efforts underway to trace suspect's accomplices

ISLAMABAD: After nearly three months, police on Wednesday solved a murder case and arrested the suspected culprit.

A police spokesperson said that the Homicide Unit of Rural Circle said that Mirza Chanzaib Anjum had been murdered within the remits of the Lohi Bher police station on March 29.

Subsequently, DIG Operations Waqaruddin Syed had ordered to trace the suspects responsible.

SP Rural Malik Iqbal constituted a special team under the supervision of DSP  Rukhsar Medhi along with Homicide Unit’s Inspector Tadsaq Hussain Shah, Lohi Bher police station  SHO  SI Shahid Zaman, homicide officers Sis Ghulam Rasool and Fakher Abbas, Constable Qaser Mehmood and others.

The team collected evidence and arrested Shahbaz Manzoor. Further investigations are underway and efforts are being made to trace his accomplices.
