Rubina Ashraf recovering well from Covid-19, thanks fans for prayers

The 'Ruswai' director had tested positive for Covid-19 early in June

Beloved actor Rubina Ashraf, who was reportedly critical after testing positive for the coronavirus earlier this month has updated her followers about her recovery.

Taking to Instagram, the veteran star thanked her fans for prayers, and also had a special mention sent out to her best friend, Badar Khalil. Posting a throwback photo with Badar, she shared, "My BADO (Badar). Sending me best wishes and a beautiful memory to help recover from coronavirus."

She also went on to mention all the people including industry peers and fans. "Your love saved me guys! Thank you for all the prayers," she wrote.

The Ruswai director had tested positive for Covid-19 early in June and a source close to the family had confirmed to The Express Tribune that she was in a critical condition and in a private hospital.

Industry colleagues like Mahira Khan, Humayun Saeed, Muhammad Ahmad, Sana Javed, Shagufta Ejaz and others took to social media and requested prayers for the actor.

Thankfully, news of her recovering well was then confirmed by her daughter, actor Minna Tariq.
