For this purpose, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) health ministry has summoned the annual performance reports of around 102 doctors who are currently working in basic pay scale (BPS) grade 18 and 19 across the province - including the merged tribal areas.
Even as their records are scrutinised, these health professionals have been directed to obtain and send anti-corruption certificates along with 10 fresh photographs to the health ministry within 15 days.
Meanwhile, the provincial ministry has written to all district health officers (DHOs), medical superintendents (MS) of public hospitals, and other related officials to submit the missing record of to-be-promoted specialist doctors working under them.
Sources say that the annual performance reports for some doctors for the period between 2008 and 2016 were missing, while in most cases, the government has summoned PERs since 2019.
The K-P Health Directorate has prepared promotion cases for doctors in management cadres.
The directorate has sent the case for the promotion of doctors in BPS-17 to BPS-18.
