Intellectuals: Historical objectivity urged by president
President Asif Ali Zardari urged historians and scholars to preserve history in an objective manner.
ISLAMABAD:
President Asif Ali Zardari urged historians and scholars to preserve history in an objective manner. He was holding a discussion with scholars about Pakistan Movement at the Aiwan-e-Sadr on Thursday. He said that it was essential that hard work of scholars and historians was not only preserved but appreciated too. The president directed the cabinet secretary to streamline a research cell in the cabinet divisions. He asked scholars to assist the division in facilitating students of history of the Pakistan movement. The president also said that the government would continue to extend patronage to intellectuals of the country.
