The Charsadda district police have arrested the suspect involved in the murder of a police officer during a raid.
The Charsadda district police in a statement on Friday said that the suspect had allegedly shot dead ASI Wali Shah during a crackdown against wanted criminal Iftikhar Ahmed and his brother Imtiaz Khan.
During the raid, ASI Shah Wali was martyred in an exchange of fire. The suspect was on the run for the past three years.
The suspect has been shifted to Mandai police station for investigation.
Meanwhile, Swabi foiled an attempt to smuggle drugs to Punjab at Anbar interchange on motorway and arrested three inter-provincial smugglers.
Police on tip-off about an attempt to smuggle huge quantity of drugs to Punjab from an outskirt area of Peshawar, carried out snap-checking near Anbar interchange on motorway.
