Smart lockdown in parts of Abbottababd
Lockdown will not apply to pharmacies, dairy and bakery shops, and general stores selling rations
AYUBIA: Several areas of Abbottabad will be put under a smart lockdown for two weeks to control the spread of coronavirus disease.
Abbottabad Deputy Commissioner Maghis Sanaullah issued a notification on Wednesday announcing smart lockdown in Jhangi Syedan, urban areas of Kayhal, the Nadian neighbourhood around Naz Omar Mosque, Malach locality of Nathiagali, and the stretch of PMA Road adjacent to Abbottabad’s main meat market, besides some areas of Qalandarabad.
Government has imposed smart lockdown to control the spread of coronavirus after several people were tested positive for the disease from these areas.
This order will be implemented after 24 hours so that the citizens can arrange their food and necessities, the notification said.
Lockdown will not apply to pharmacies, dairy and bakery shops, and general stores selling rations.
The goal of smart lockdown is to prevent the spread of Corona as much as possible. In this regard, citizens are requested to support the government, district administration and the health department to make coronavirus control possible, the notification read.
