Football: Tevez ruled out of Community Shield

MANCHESTER: Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez will miss Sunday’s Community Shield clash against English champions Manchester United. He has been given extra time off by City boss Roberto Mancini as he recovers from his time with the national team at the Copa America. “Carlos has now been given extended leave so he can return on Monday, which is 21 days after Argentina’s exit from the Copa,” said a club spokesperson.
