Capital Development Authority (CDA) had prepared a budget with a total outlay of Rs24.038 billion in the financial year 2019-20.
According to sources, CDA has allocated Rs12 billion for operations and salaries while a hefty amount of Rs24 billion has also been allocated for development projects for the first time.
An additional Rs1.5 billion has been allocated to the employees in the form of benefits, after which the total volume has reached about Rs4 billion.
Sources say this will be the first time that non-development expenditure will be only 24 per cent of the total volume.
Sources said that during the next financial year, CDA will launch more than a dozen different development projects, including overhead bridges and interchanges.
