ATC issues production orders for Uzair Baloch

Baloch is booked in over 50 cases pertaining to murder, terrorism, extortion, kidnapping and other heinous crimes

KARACHI: An anti-terrorism court (ATC) issued on Monday the production orders of notorious Lyari gang war leader Uzair Baloch in a case about the murders of  Sindh Rangers officials.

The ATC was hearing the case at Karachi Central Jail. According to a report presented by the jail superintendent, the Sindh government had declared it a security risk to keep Baloch at the Karachi Central Jail. Therefore, it further stated, he would be held at the sub-jail at Mitha Ram Hostel, run by the Rangers, as per the directives of the Sindh Home Department. Meanwhile, his security detail has been handed over to the Rangers, who would ensure his presence before the court at the next hearing. Subsequently, the ATC issued orders for Baloch to be produced at the next hearing.
