QUETTA: Dispelling the false propaganda against the health community, Pakistan Medical Association’s Balochistan chapter on Sunday said many doctors and paramedical staff sacrificed their lives in the line of duty but still their efforts against Covid-19 are being subjected to criticism.

“Many are working on the front line against the coronavirus. Despite their efforts different groups including political parties are projecting false propaganda against the healthcare community,” he said.

In a statement, the PMA Balochistan spokesperson said that since the outbreak of coronavirus in Pakistan, thousands of patients have been coming to government hospitals. “The Balochistan Health Department is providing medical equipment, safety kits and better facilities to the doctors in government hospitals.”

Patients should not be discouraged, it said, adding that the medical staff in all government hospitals are treating patients without caring about their own lives.
