MEXICO CITY: Mexico’s health ministry reported a record 5,222 new confirmed coronavirus infections along with 504 additional fatalities on Friday, bringing the total in the country to 139,196 cases and 16,448 deaths.
The government has said the real number of infected people is likely significantly higher than the official count.
