A British national and her four children have been rescued from her in-laws, who had kept her confined for eight months in Azad Kashmir's Mirpur area.
The issue came to light after Farzana wrote a letter to her brother, telling him that she had been confined by her in-laws after she came to Pakistan from the UK.
The police took action after a local court ordered that Farzana and her four children be presented in court.
Her three brothers in law and mother-in-law have been arrested and further investigations are underway.
