LAHORE: Punjab Labour Minister Ansar Majeed Khan has accused the opposition of misleading the people and making futile efforts to conceal its corruption.

“While seeing the noose tightening around corrupt elements, Bilawal Zardari has started playing the ‘APC drama’,” the minister said in a statement issued on Monday.

He said those who looted the national exchequer would be held accountable at all costs. “Those who are soaked in corruption cannot escape from the court of the people by mudslinging on the government. People have rejected those who filled their kitties with looted money in the last general elections.”

He said that now no corrupt politician would be able to mislead the people. “These people have broken the records of corruption in the past under the garb of democracy.”

He said a comprehensive policy for the common people was being formulated in the coming budget. “The decision of the prime minister to increase the development expenditure by reducing non-development expenditure in the budget is a good omen,” he added.
