4 Covid patients recover after plasma therapy
Appeal for plasma donation to help others

Balochistan Chief Secretary Capt (retd) Fazeel Asghar over the weekend said that four corona patients have recovered successfully through the plasma treatment method in Quetta.
“Plasma treatment has begun and four critical patients have recovered. Therefore, I appeal to those patients who have recovered after being infected with the coronavirus to donate their blood for plasma to aid the treatment of other patients as soon as possible,” he said during a meeting reviewing the current lockdown situation in the province to prevent the spread of the virus and the treatment of infected patients.
The provincial chief secretary added that Covid-19 testing facilities will be provided in every divisional headquarters in the province. He expressed his concerns over an increase in the virus cases due to public negligence when the lockdown was eased, instructing relevant authorities to strictly implement the SOPs. “Random testing should be started as soon as possible.”
Over 2,000 patients sent to home-isolation in Rawalpindi
Responding to a proposal to open a transport hotel, he said the matter would be discussed with the Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal but SOPs pertaining to it should be devised immediately.
Asghar maintained that the people need to understand their responsibility as an individual, hinting towards the fact that their carelessness can lead to the spread of the virus rapidly so every person should strictly follow the precautionary measures. Further addressing the meeting, he said that the provincial government was taking all possible steps to curb the spread of coronavirus and treat its patients with every available resource and funds were being provided immediately in this regard.
