LAHORE: Punjab Industries & Trade Minister Mian Aslam Iqbal urged the masses to lend their due cooperation with regards to imposition of government decisions to impede the spread of the coronavirus disease. “Those elements not implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) will face stern action.”

He expressed these views while speaking to a trader’s delegation at Camp Office on Sunday.

The provincial minister asserted that violation of SOPs will not be tolerated at any cost as there was no other remedy except adopting precautionary measures to protect the people from coronavirus. “It is essential to implement SOPs in order to protect lives of the masses.

He disclosed that monitoring process of the markets will continue and stern action will be taken in case of any violation. “Traders should conduct sprays and maintain cleanliness in their markets during two days closure of markets.”

He emphasised that if the citizens adopt positive conduct then difficult lockdown situation can be averted.

He stressed that the people need to stand by the government in its fight against coronavirus. The minister outlined that government steps and decisions were being taken for the welfare of the people to curb the spread of coronavirus. “Any irresponsible behaviour of the people would only lead to rapid spread of the disease.”
