Saba Qamar has always been a strong, outspoken woman - from her choice of character she plays, to her unapologetic stance on many things. Now, the starlet has responded back to people 'twisting' her words.

Over the last week, Saba unexpectedly found herself in hot waters over her comments about feminism and gender equality, which largely, were misconstrued, as the star said.

Now, the Cheekh star has finally taken to her Instagram stories to respond to the criticism in one simple post. "No matter how carefully you choose your words, they'll always end up being twisted by others," she wrote.

For a little background: While in conversation with Samina Peerzada for the Rewind at Home program, Saba had said, "We're still stuck in male, female, feminism. I don’t believe in, you know... I believe in gender equality."

She went on to add, "Men and women are equal. They feel hurt equally. It's not only the man’s responsibility to get his five sisters married. In Pakistan it so happens that one man has 10 mouths to feed - we have to change that. We don't have acceptance, we are not taught otherwise."

Her comments were subsequently met with criticism from people who schooled her on how feminism asks for the same things as she wants.

Saba is also working hard on her YouTube channel and announced that a new video will be released today. Stay tuned!
