ISLAMABAD: The additional sessions judge in Islamabad has issued a notice to the FIA Cybercrime Wing, seeking its reply by June 9 on a plea to register a case against US blogger Cynthia De Ritchie for launching a campaign against the late PPP chairperson on social media.

Judge Jahangir Awan heard PPP, Islamabad President Shakeel Abbasi's plea, wherein the US blogger has been accused of launching a campaign against Benazir Bhutto on social media.

It was further stated that the PTA had been requested to delete the tweet from social media and also the FIA to register a case on which no action had been taken.

Therefore, the court should issue orders to register a case.

The court issued a notice to the FIA on the petition and sought a reply. Earlier, Additional Sessions Judge Abida Sajjad issued a notice to police for not registering a case on the request of a citizen, Waqas Abbasi, and sought a reply by June 8.

Sultan Durrani | 3 years ago | Reply Apparently, this American journalist seems not that wrong. For sure our so called political elite is no less then criminals. We have such instances at hand. Like Nawaz Sharif tried his best to seduce another American Journalist Kim Barker but miserably failed, prior to this he had been instrumental in a divorce of Tahira Syed, known to all. Yousaf Raza Jillani tried his luck with Angelina Jolie but failed. Aitazaz Ahsan as Interior Minister fooled around Christina Lamb. All these instances are documented by the aggrieves in their respective books. As far as Rahman Malik is concerned his character is know to all Pakistan. However, full fledged enquiry is must.
