Ziarat DC reviews campaign against locusts

Spray campaign underway

QUETTA: Ziarat Deputy Commissioner Captain (retd) Mehrullah Badeni has directed officers of Agriculture Department to expedite operation for locust eradication and submit reports of the ongoing efforts on daily basis.

During a visit to Ziarat’s Union Council Kach and different areas of Union Council Saru, the deputy commissioner assured farmers that their problems would be resolved on priority basis and all possible steps would be taken to control locusts attack in the area.

“A spray campaign is under way in affected areas while the district administration and the Agriculture Department are on alert to protect the gardens and crops of farmers,” he said.
