Afghan slave labour: 16 Pakistani prisoners released

Sixteen Pakistanis have been released from Afghanistan’s slave labour, talks are underway for the release of others.

QUETTA: Sixteen Pakistanis have been released from Afghanistan’s slave labour and talks are underway for the release of others languishing in private Afghan jails.

Human rights activist Ansar Burney said this during a press conference at the Frontier Corps (FC) headquarters on Wednesday.

Flanked by Inspector General FC of Balochistan Major General Obaidullah Khan Khatak, he said that the Ansar Burney Trust with the help of the FC contacted concerned Afghan officials for the safe and early release of the Pakistanis.
